As long as that standard remains, I’ll still have to suit up every now and then. I’ve converted to wearing mostly jeans and sweatshirts, because it’s what I’m most comfortable wearing… and guess what? Instead of seeking that artificial boost of respect to make me feel better about myself, I put my focus on being the best I can be, and the most “me” version of myself. I happen to like the way I look in suits. But I like the way that I feel in jeans and sweatshirts better. Which has a remarkable effect on one’s composure and image.
