Solist Port Cask / #029A (2011) / 57.8% / 70cl Nose: Sweet rich fruity and nutty flavours, some candied orange and a hint of dark cocoa, some citrus tones flow around the nose with a touch of soft caramel. Spices and dark honey, dates and damsons soft melon and hints of mulberry. Palate: The nose was enticing with its almost forest fruits and vanilla undertones, the palate is deliciously rich and fruity, milk chocolate and a hint of toasted almonds, a rich and complex fruitiness, some vanilla and honey with a touch of soft ginger, red berries add a nice tangy yet smooth note leading into the finish of orange and malt fruit cake, lingering and long smooth notes of ruby chocolate and a little soft maple.
